One of our most popular choices, the Ottoman Divan Bed Base is a fantastic space saving solution for any bedroom and is available in a Side or End Lift option. For those in need of that extra storage space this Ottoman Base offers double the amount of storage offered by the 4 drawer divan option. Featuring strong and durable gas lift pistons which are positioned on each side of the base, it can be easily lifted/closed and will support up to 75kg weight, allowing for heavy mattresses.

Expertly crafted using the highest quality timber and materials, this Ottoman is built to last. The sides of the base are made from solid veneered chipboard and the top is reinforced with strong and durable wooden slats, whilst strong corner joints and enhanced edges also add extra strength and durability. With the added feature of a anti-slip material ensuring that your mattress does not move when the ottoman is opened.

All Timber used in our products is responsibly sourced from Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) certified and regulated suppliers.

Choosing from any of our beautiful hard wearing fabrics, the base can be tailored to match any room setting and colour scheme.

Once you have placed your order you will receive a telephone call from one of our dedicated team members to confirm the exact requirements of your order.

Once confirmed, your order will be passed to our production team.

We offer all customers an estimated lead-time, which is dependent on postcode area. This lead-time will be confirmed by our delivery partners 24-48 hours prior to your delivery slot. Please ensure your contact number is correct so the transport team can contact you.

What happens after I have placed my order?

As soon as you place your order, you will receive an email from us to confirm the payment. The following working day one of our customer service team will contact you to confirm the details of the order and that the delivery address details are correct. Should you need to make any amendments to you order the team can also assist you on this call.

Please be rest assured, your order will still processed if we can not make contact with you to confirm the details. If any anomalies appear on your order we will do our best to contact you and confirm before proceeding.

Would you price match a product?

Our aim is to offer a great price for a great product. A price match may be considered in some instances, however the item would need to be a like for like product being displayed on-line. Price matching will not be considered against local stores and this is not a guaranteed request.

Do you take away the old mattress and base?

The Bed Supermarket offers a Mattress Collection & Recycling service which is a convenient way to dispose of your old beds or mattresses while also helping to reduce landfill waste.

Once the order has been confirmed we will start to make the necessary arrangements for your collection. You will receive a 3 hour time slot via SMS the day before the collection.

If you place an order for a new mattress with us we will ensure your new items are delivered prior to your old mattress being taken away.

When will my order be delivered?

After you have placed your order, one of our customer care team will contact you the following day to confirm the details of your order including the items selected, delivery address and contact number. Please see our Free Delivery Terms page for the estimated working lead times. Our courier will message you the day before to confirm a delivery date and you will be called by the delivery team 30 minutes before your delivery.

What if I have ordered the wrong item?

Not to worry, you can contact us via e-mail or telephone and one of the customer care team will amend the order.

Is the bed assembled on delivery / how easy is assembly?

We do not offer an assembly service however all of our products are pre-assembled for your convenience. None of our products should take more than 10 minutes to put together and instructions are provided with our customer service team on hand to assist you if you need some help.

Do you have a showroom?

Unfortunately not, we are solely on-line. We aim to give a detailed description of all of our products to ensure you know exactly what you are purchasing.

Are your mattresses supplied flat or rolled in a box?

All of our mattresses are supplied flat and are not rolled at any point in the process.

Can I pay for the product when it arrives?

All items need to be paid for in full before items are put in to production. All products include delivery and at no point should you be asked for further payment when your product arrives.

How long do I have to return an item?

You have 14 days to return an item free of charge, subject to the item not being used or assembled. Please note, if you wish to inspect a mattress, please ensure the protective outer plastic packaging is not removed, as this may affect your right to return due to health and hygiene reasons. Any product that is made to order/customised cannot be returned unless faulty.
